  • Ms. Annie Moisan and Mr. Gilles Turcotte, entrepreneurs and residents of the Eastern Townships, have donated $1 million to the Charles-LeMoyne Hospital for the construction of a hemodynamic room in the cardiology department.  This is the largest personal donation the foundation has ever received. 

 

  • Within the framework of its mental health initiative ‘Let’s Talk’, Bell will donate $300,000 over three years to the Charles-LeMoyne Hospital Foundation for the adolescent psychiatric unit to support the care and services in mental health.

 

  • The MRC du Haut-Richelieu has become a major partner in the campaign ‘Unis pour la santé’ of the Fondation Santé Haut-Richelieu-Rouville. They will donate $2 per inhabitant per year, for a total of $1,141,370. 

 

  • The passing of Mr. Yvan Caron, ex-president of the ‘Fédération des caisses populaires Desjardins de Québec’. Throughout his career, Mr. Caron was a model for social engagement.   He supported close to 40 organizations in the Quebec City region, such as Opération Enfant Soleil, la Fondation de la Maison Michel-Sarrazin, l'Institut universitaire de cardiologie et de pneumologie de Québec and the major fundraising campaign for the  Fondation du Cégep de Limoilou.

 

  • The Groupe Maurice gave $600,000 to the l'Institut de gériatrie de Montréal. This donation will help expand its research center and build a new auditorium.  

 

  • The Trottier Family Foundation has donated $10 million to the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation within the framework of the ‘best care for life’ campaign at the McGill University Health Center (MUHC). This donation will support the MUHC Research Institute and the Center for Innovative Medecine under construction at the Glen site.

 

  • The Fondation du CHUS confirms Mr. Charles Auger as Executive Director.
